He has represented a client on a complex, live secondary school site, helping to achieve ambitious sustainability targets, including BREEAM Excellent, through innovative low‑energy design solutions.

Nigel has also managed the delivery of a new primary school, coordinating full fit‑out through direct client procurement with specialist contractors and suppliers, and integrating a land transaction into the overall funding strategy. He has led capital programme management for proposed school programmes, shaping robust business cases, redesigning multidisciplinary teams and establishing effective public‑private partnerships, all focused on continuous improvement and clear outcomes for learners.

CULTURAL & COMMUNITY

We have extensive experience delivering community-focused projects for churches and local neighbourhoods across the UK. Nigel’s work includes transforming a Victorian ballroom into a modern community centre, combining extensions, heritage restoration and upgraded building services, and delivering the scheme in line with Section 106 obligations to support new housing. For Baptist and Evangelical churches, Roland has led project and cost management for mixed-use developments that integrate new worship space with housing, care accommodation and student residences, from early feasibility and development agreements through to procurement, delivery and fit out. Nigel has also supported churches developing new mission models, such as combining worship space with a community café, helping to define the brief, identify and adapt suitable buildings, and manage structural upgrades and specialist fit out to create welcoming, flexible environments. Across all projects, we assemble and lead multidisciplinary teams, ensuring robust cost control, strong governance and clear alignment with both client and community objectives.

In development management, Roland has appraised multiple speculative housing sites, testing viability and preparing schemes for planning and construction.
